How does it work?

In a reliable setting the person coming for help is encouraged to use the time for reflection. They begin each session with whatever comes into their mind at that moment. During the session they may speak about their feelings, thoughts, memories, and dreams. The therapist listens and tries to helps them to make sense of their feelings and behaviour. Therapist and client together reach for deeper understandings.

As the relationship with the therapist develops, the client discovers new insights, and finds better ways of coping with their problems and feelings.
